Puja Verma

Puja Verma is the owner/director of IndiCan Immigrations (previously called D.K. Immigrations).

Puja graduated in Economics honours from Delhi University, India and moved to Canada in 1990. She worked in the travel industry in Canada for a few years and had an opportunity to meet with diverse ethnic communities during this stint. In the course of her interactions with ethnic communities, Puja identified the need for the services of a trained immigration professional in and around the Edmonton area. She was also inspired by the retired Immigration Officer, Darshan Khaira, who had his Immigration Consultancy business in the same location. The transition from the travel industry to becoming an Immigration Consultant was therefore very smooth and easy.

Puja successfully obtained her ICCRC License after finishing the Immigration Practitioner Program from Bow Valley College (Calgary) with Honours. She is now a registered ICCRC member (Membership number R420935). Subsequently she also obtained her Fellow Canadian Migration Institute (FCMI) designation and her Fellowship number is F095656.

Puja has successfully handled several difficult appeals in the Immigration Appeal Division, represented clients in Refugee claims, Humanitarian applications from within Canada besides all other immigration matters. She has a wide ethnic clientele from all parts of the world including Mexico, the Middle East, Somalia, Ukraine, Poland, Beirut, United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Uganda, Kenya, USA and of course India is on the top of her list of clients.
